Privacy Policy
The short version
Tallihaus doesn't collect your information. There's no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. What you enter stays on your device. A few features look things up on public government services; exactly what they send is listed below.
Where your information is stored
Bills, mortgage details, appliances, documents, photos and everything else you add are saved only on your device. If your device backs itself up (for example, iCloud Backup), that backup includes Tallihaus's data, under Apple's privacy terms.
Backups and exports
When you back up or export a spreadsheet, Tallihaus creates a file and you choose where it goes, such as iCloud Drive or Files. We never receive a copy.
Camera and photos
Photos of appliance labels, bills, receipts and listings are read on your device using Apple's built-in text recognition. They're never uploaded.
Mortgage rates
To show current rates, Tallihaus downloads the public weekly mortgage rate averages from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED). This request contains no personal information, though, like any web request, their servers can see your device's internet address.
Weather tips
If you add your ZIP code, Tallihaus asks Apple's map service for its location once, rounds it to about half a mile, and sends that rounded location to the National Weather Service (weather.gov) to get your forecast. Your address and name are never sent. You can turn weather tips off in Settings.
Recall checks
To check for recalls, Tallihaus sends the brand names of your appliances (for example, "Frigidaire") to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's public recall list. Model and serial numbers stay on your device, where the matching happens. You can turn recall checks off in Settings.
Notifications
Reminders and the weekly summary are created on your device. Nothing is sent to a server to deliver them.
Links
Links you open, like a listing website or a contractor's site, open in your browser and follow that website's own privacy policy.
Children
Tallihaus is meant for adults managing a home and doesn't knowingly collect anything from anyone, including children.
Deleting your information
Delete any record in the app, or delete the app to remove everything it stored on that device. Backup files you saved elsewhere stay where you put them until you delete them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
